Vancouver Branch Manager

Ethan Yiu

Ethan Yiu is one of the Vancouver Branch Managers. By working with local schools and community centres, he hopes to acquire teens with the needed programming knowledge for the future. Ethan is currently a student in Year 12 at Lord Byng Secondary School. With 3 years of programming experience in Java, Python, HTML, and CSS, Ethan is pursuing a computer science major. Ethan enjoys playing table tennis and listening to pop music in his free time.

Vancouver Branch Manager

Nathan Yiu

Nathan Yiu is one of the Vancouver Branch Managers. He is a grade 10 student at Lord Byng Secondary. With 2 years of coding and programming experience with Scratch, Python, HTML, and CSS, he hopes to make teenagers interested in coding and computer science by volunteering at community centres and schools. Nathan is currently aiming for a computer science and automotive engineering major. In his free time, Nathan loves to play Table Tennis, Violin and watch car related videos.

Vancouver Business Analyst

Kevin Lee

Kevin Lee is the Business Analyst for the Vancouver Branch. He is passionate about computer science and administration. He enjoys solving complex problems through programming and systems management, while also focusing on leadership and project coordination. He is always looking to learn and grow, aiming to bridge the gap between technology and business to create efficient solutions.

Linda Chen

Linda Chen is the Coquitlam Branch Manager and Outreach Admin of the ARTex Coding Society. She is currently a senior attending Port Moody Secondary School in Port Moody, BC. In her spare time, Linda enjoys dancing and spending quality time with her friends. She has many leadership experiences and looks forward to making a positive impact by expanding coding literacy throughout her community.

Allen Wu

Allen Wu is the Coquitlam Outreach Admin and is currently a senior attending Pinetree Secondary in Coquitlam, BC. He has a passion for Mechanical Engineering and Physics, he is also a very passionate and self-motivated person. Allen enjoys socializing and studying with friends independent of the environment.

Iziak Kwan

Iziak Kwan is the Coquitlam Outreach Admin and is driven by a deep passion for making a positive impact on the lives of others through volunteer work. Over the years, I have devoted my time and energy to various causes and initiatives, and I believe that the act of giving back is an essential part of building a compassionate and thriving community. Joining Artex would be an incredible opportunity for me to continue my journey of service and connect with like-minded individuals who share my commitment to creating positive change.

Nigel Sprague

Nigel Sprague is one of the East Vancouver Branch Managers. He is an experienced Linux user and is interested in networking, programming, Linux server administration and tinkering with computers. He can do front end web design with HTML, CSS and Javascript and can program a bit in python, lua and bash. He also uses Arch Linux.

East Vancouver Branch Manager | East Vancouver Technology Administrator

Yan Yan

Yan Yan is one of the East Vancouver branch manager. He is currently a high school student at Gladstone. He is also experienced and very interested in game development, currently making games on Roblox and can program using Lua and Python, also know a little about HTML/CSS.

Victoria Branch Manager

Daniel Zhang

Daniel Zhang is the Branch Manager for the Victoria Branch of ARTex Society, responsible for expanding and managing the Victoria Branch. He is currently a senior at Mount Douglas Secondary School in Victoria BC. He has 4 years of programming experience and is especially keen when it comes to data structures. When he's not coding, Daniel can be found working on his Model UN backgrounders, cooking up new concoctions that barely pass as food, and perfecting his “KR&B” playlists. Adrian Chen

Adrian Chen is one the the Victoria Branch Managers and works as part of the Victoria Outreach. He is currently a senior at Mount Douglas Secondary and has been coding for 4 years. When not sitting in front of a computer, Adrian is probably practicing classical guitar or playing ultimate frisbee with friends.

Calgary Branch

Introducing the Calgary ARTex Coding Society Admins, igniting passion for coding education in the heart of Calgary's tech scene.

Calgary Branch Manager

Kenneth You is the Branch Manager for ARTex Society Calgary, working to bring ARTex to eager students in YYC. He is currently a junior attending Webber Academy in Calgary, AB. He has five years of experience in programming and robotics, participating and awarded in many reputable competitions. In his free time, Kenneth can often be found coding away on projects, eager to learn and stay up-to-date with the latest tech trends.

Calgary Content Developer/Technology Administrator

Edward Xue is a part of the Calgary Content Developing Admins, helping create comprehensive and engaging lesson plans. He is currently a sophomore attending Western Canada High School in Calgary, AB. He has three years of experience in programming games and is currently learning website development, as well as a little bit of Unity. He has a passion for mathematics, and spends all his spare time learning eclectic new concepts to become more knowledgeable :)

Irenka Ni

Irenka Ni is part of the Administration Team of the ARTex Los Angeles Branch. She is currently a senior at the California Academy of Mathematics and Science in Carson, California. She has six years of programming experience, and loves sharing her knowledge and connecting with others. In her free time, she enjoys playing the violin, programming robots, and freaking out about books.

Evelyn Lee

Evelyn Lee is one of the Illinois Branch Managers as well as teacher. She is experienced in several languages such as Rust, Python, and HTML/HSS. Evelyn is interested in neuroscience and biology research. Additionally, she is a part of her schools Robotics and Girls Who Code club.

Katty Ruan Chen

Katty Ruan Chen is a member of the ARTex team, currently serving as one of the Illinois Branch Managers and a teacher. She is a sophomore with a passion for math and fluency in three languages, allowing her to effectively assist with language barriers. In her free time, she enjoys playing badminton and spending quality time with her family and friends. As a foodie, Katty loves exploring different cuisines. She also has a knack for designing and has had some experience in JAVA programming. Katty is always ready to lend a helping hand, so don't hesitate to reach out to her for assistance.

New York Branch Manager

Tiffany Yung

Tiffany Yung is the New York Branch Manager of ARTex Coding Society. She is currently a senior at The Wheatley School in New York. She has around 5 years of coding experience and serves as the captain/president and lead programmer of her school’s FIRST Robotics Competition team. She also enjoys tutoring STEM subjects, especially math and science, and joined ARTex because of her passion for furthering interest in computer science and STEM amongst youth. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with friends, taking photos, and drinking bubble tea.

New York Branch Manager

Carlton Tam

Carlton Tam is the New York Branch Co-Manager of ARTex Coding Society. Currently a senior at Brooklyn Tech, he plans to pursue mechanical engineering. Having learned to code in 7th grade, he has an extensive coding background. Having tutored and taught others a variety of things like math or taekwondo or trumpet, he joined ARTex cause of his interest in furthering engineering among youth.

Kevin Wang

Kevin Wang is the Sydney Branch Manager, responsible for recruiting and organising events and personnel. He is a Grade 12 student studying at Knox Grammar School in Sydney, Australia. Kevin is passionate about making a substantial and positive impact in inspiring youths' lives and has been actively working in the local and international community to achieve this goal. Kevin enjoys playing squash, music and gaming in his spare time.

Michael Shen

Michael Shen is a part of the Sydney Outreach Admin team, responsible for reaching out to our local community in Sydney. He is currently studying in his final year at high school and aims to make an impact on developing young people's skills in STEM. In his spare time, Michael is a pianist and composer, and also enjoys Tennis.

Oliver Nguyen

Oliver Nguyen is part of the ARTex Sydney Outreach Admin team, responsible for reaching out to local schools and libraries for new opportunities. He is currently a Year 12 at Knox Grammar School in Sydney, NSW. He has a passion for helping the youth and hopes to make a positive and long-lasting impact on the community. In his free time, he enjoys playing piano and tennis with friends.

William Turnbull

William Turnbull is a part of the ARTex Outreach Administration team in Sydney. He endeavours to expand the program in Sydney and work with local schools and community centres. He is currently a student in Year 11 at Knox Grammar School in Sydney and is passionate about STEM subjects. He enjoys empowering members of his community with the opportunity to grow through spreading ARTex initiatives to Australia. In his free time, William can be found playing chess, basketball or studying history
