On April 16, 2024, ARTex Society was honored to be recognized as regional award winners at the Ingenious+ Award Ceremony, earning a $1,000 prize for our contributions toward making coding education accessible to underserved youth. This award serves as a testament to the impact of our work, and we are incredibly grateful to be part of this incredible initiative.

The ceremony took place at Government House in Victoria, British Columbia, where we were welcomed by The Honourable Janet Austin, Lieutenant Governor of BC, and her team. The event, hosted during Canadian Innovation Week 2024, showcased projects addressing community and civic engagement, climate change, equity and inclusion, health, and technology and entrepreneurship, which ARTex won for. It was inspiring to be among other innovators who are committed to creating meaningful change today.

We are greatly thankful to the Rideau Hall Foundation for creating this platform, and empowering us and countless other youth to make a difference. This award will allow us to further expand our programs, ensuring that every student, regardless of their background, can thrive and grow through the power of coding. Thank you to the Lieutenant Governor of BC and the team at Government House for this warm celebration and for supporting the next generation of Canadian innovators.
